Who did the Curse Wheel curse?

    • Baltimore Ravens (#11)

Did the Curse Wheel curse succeed?

    • NO; the Ravens defeated the Baltimore Colts 41-23.

    How Bad Was the Curse?

    • The Ravens won handedly; by the middle of the Second Quarter, it was pretty much a lock for the Ravens.
      • I guess if you want to be OOOOH SPOOPY about things, the Colts probably was catching strays from the Curse Wheel once again.
    • However, even tho the Ravens won, it wasn’t without cost:
      • T.J. Tampa Jr. left in the first quarter with a knee injury
      • Zay Flowers missed the second half due to a hamstring injury (probably the most serious effect of the curse)
      • Ja’Kobi Lane exited with a wrist injury
      • Marlon Humphrey also had to leave temporarily with an apparent leg injury
      • That said, I currently don’t consider these as a successful curse. I could be convinced otherwise, however.

    Current Curse Win Percentage: 0.000

  • 2026-27 Season Stats

New Season! New Curses! This year I’ll keep better track of the Curse Wheel’s design just so make sure double entries aren’t miscounted.

If this is your first time here, I’ll be posting season-long stats in this sticky. But for now, this is what I got:

    Slot Spun Result

This season I’ll track which slot appears more often, especially since there are some repeats and special slots which may change over the season. (“X” = “Custom”)

  • Championship Games, 2025

Who did the Curse Wheel curse?

    • Los Angeles Rams (#3)

Did the Curse Wheel curse succeed?

    • YES; the Rams lost to the Seattle Seahawks 27-31

    How Bad Was the Curse?

    • The Rams had a few chances to take control of the game but the cards were perpetually stacked against them. Even tho the Rams had more total yards overall and the Seahawks had more penalties, the Rams couldn’t get anything done. The Seahawks stopped 7 out of 8 3rd Down plays from the Rams, and also had a crucial turnover on downs with 4:59 left in the 4th Quarter, ultimately sealing the game for the Seahawks.
    • If the Curse cursed the Rams, it stands to reason that it blessed the Seahawks in return. Sam Darnold became the first QB from his draft class to reach the Super Bowl (1st round of 2018 Draft)… before Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson and Baker Mayfield.
    • And in blessing the Seahawks, Vikings fans are now stuck in a liminal space between “what could have been” and “what never was”. Meanwhile, with Darnold going to the Super Bowl, his place in the 2026 Pro Bowl was filled by Detroit Lions QB Jared Goff.

  • Divisional Round, 2025

Who did the Curse Wheel curse?

    • New England Patriots (#3)

Did the Curse Wheel curse succeed?

    • NO; the Patriots defeated the Houston Texans 28-16

    How Bad Was the Curse?

    • I’ll be honest: if I didn’t know any better, I would’ve thought the entire game was cursed. Maybe it was.
    • EIGHT TURNOVERS. It probably could’ve been a completely different game if it weren’t for the fact that Texans QB C.J. Stroud threw four interceptions, or if Patriots QB Drake Maye’s fumbles weren’t as quickly recovered by his team.
    • Despite the turnovers, neither team could really capitalize on them. In fact there were a couple cases where there was essentially back-to-back turnovers. It was a really messy messy game.
    • It was a five point game at the start of the 4th quarter with the Patriots leading 21-16, but Drake Maye threw a 32-yard touchdown pass to Patriots WR Kayshon Boutte that ultimately sealed the game.

Who did the Curse Wheel curse?

    • Los Angeles Rams (#4)

Did the Curse Wheel curse succeed?

    • NO; the Rams defeated the Carolina Panthers 31-34

    How Bad Was the Curse?

    • Honestly it was pretty damn close! Carolina played some serious ball, with the Rams making some crucial errors. This includes:
    • Rams QB Matthew Stafford got intercepted late in the 3rd Quarter, setting up a Panther’s TD, bringing them to their first lead 24-20.
    • A blocked punt against Rams kicker Ethan Evans by Panthers LB Isaiah Simmons set the Panters up for another touchdown and lead change, 31-27.
    • This potential late game collapse by the Rams brought the Panthers to a 71.9% win percentage.
    • However, it wasn’t enough and the Rams managed to rally with 2:39 remaining in the 4th to score the gaming winning touchdown.
