Who did the Curse Wheel curse?

    • Los Angeles Rams (#3)

Did the Curse Wheel curse succeed?

    • YES; the Rams lost to the Seattle Seahawks 27-31

    How Bad Was the Curse?

    • The Rams had a few chances to take control of the game but the cards were perpetually stacked against them. Even tho the Rams had more total yards overall and the Seahawks had more penalties, the Rams couldn’t get anything done. The Seahawks stopped 7 out of 8 3rd Down plays from the Rams, and also had a crucial turnover on downs with 4:59 left in the 4th Quarter, ultimately sealing the game for the Seahawks.
    • If the Curse cursed the Rams, it stands to reason that it blessed the Seahawks in return. Sam Darnold became the first QB from his draft class to reach the Super Bowl (1st round of 2018 Draft)… before Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson and Baker Mayfield.
    • And in blessing the Seahawks, Vikings fans are now stuck in a liminal space between “what could have been” and “what never was”. Meanwhile, with Darnold going to the Super Bowl, his place in the 2026 Pro Bowl was filled by Detroit Lions QB Jared Goff.

Who did the Curse Wheel curse?

    • New England Patriots (#3)

Did the Curse Wheel curse succeed?

    • NO; the Patriots defeated the Houston Texans 28-16

    How Bad Was the Curse?

    • I’ll be honest: if I didn’t know any better, I would’ve thought the entire game was cursed. Maybe it was.
    • EIGHT TURNOVERS. It probably could’ve been a completely different game if it weren’t for the fact that Texans QB C.J. Stroud threw four interceptions, or if Patriots QB Drake Maye’s fumbles weren’t as quickly recovered by his team.
    • Despite the turnovers, neither team could really capitalize on them. In fact there were a couple cases where there was essentially back-to-back turnovers. It was a really messy messy game.
    • It was a five point game at the start of the 4th quarter with the Patriots leading 21-16, but Drake Maye threw a 32-yard touchdown pass to Patriots WR Kayshon Boutte that ultimately sealed the game.

Who did the Curse Wheel curse?

    • New England Patriots (#3)

Did the Curse Wheel curse succeed?

    • NO; the Patriots defeated the New York Jets 42-10

    How Bad Was the Curse?

    • lol
    • Ok but seriously, I don’t think the Curse Wheel was ever THIS wrong about a single team all season. Many of the other times I considered a curse to have failed still had some kind of residual effects (Joe Burrow got turf toe a week after the Bengals got cursed, two of the Steelers curses involved injuries to major players) but I don’t think anything happened to the Patriots that was remotely curse-worthy.
    • Drake “Drake Maye” Maye threw five touchdown passes. The Patriots’ win percentage was already at 98% by the end of the 1st Quarter. Patriots QB Joshua Dobbs took over with 5:31 left in the 3rd Quarter. This was absolute domination by the Patriots.
    • OH! Patriots Kicker Andy Borregales doinked a field goal attempt at the end of the 3rd quarter, that counts for something, right??
    • UPDATE: Patriots players Christian Barmore and Stefon Diggs have since been charged with assault in or around this week’s curse. Personally I don’t see it as the team being cursed, unless you consider the team’s curse involves star players being handed the idiot ball that week. I’ll leave that for you to decide.

Who did the Curse Wheel curse?

    • First Spin: #16, but Perna didn’t have a #16
    • Second Spin: #15, but Perna also didn’t have a #15
    • Third Spin: Green Bay Packers (#3)

Did the Curse Wheel curse succeed?

    • YES; the Packers lost to the Cleveland Browns 10-13

    How Bad Was the Curse?

    • The Packers lost to the Browns. Isn’t that enough?
    • The Packers were held to 3-0 lead by halftime
    • Packers were intercepted with 3:18 to go in the 4th, which led to a Browns TD, tieing it up 10-10
    • Browns would block a Packers field goal with 0:27 left in the 4th, allowing the Browns to hustle to get a final field goal.`
