This team lost against the curse

  • Week 12, 2025

Who did the Curse Wheel curse?

    • Denver Broncos (#1)
    • Carolina Panthers (#13)

Did the Curse Wheel curse succeed?

    • INCONCLUSIVE; the Broncos were on a Bye week this week.
    • YES; the Panthers lost to the San Francisco 49ers 9-20

    How Bad Was the Curse?

    • The Panthers picked off Brock Purdy THREE TIMES but only scored a field goal off the third pick.
    • The Panthers’ drive after their first pick ended with Bryce Young getting intercepted as well.
    • After the Panthers’ only touchdown and successfully kicking the extra point, a penalty was called against 49er Jordan Elliott for Unnecessary Roughness. This brought them up to the 1-yard line, allowing for the Panthers to go for a two-point conversion instead… only to fail that.
    • Meanwhile the Broncos had a Bye week this week, so it remains to be seen if the Broncos dodged a bullet or if the Curse Wheel will get its pound of flesh in the end.

Who did the Curse Wheel curse?

    • Pittsburg Steelers (#7)

Did the Curse Wheel curse succeed?

    • YES; the Steelers lost to the Los Angeles Chargers 10-25

    How Bad Was the Curse?

    • “Somehow” the Steelers went from defeating the #1 team in the AFC to being absolute doo-doo.
    • Aaron Rodgers coughed up a Safety 5 minutes left in the 1st Quarter, the first of 25 unanswered points all game.
    • The Steelers had three turnovers, and all three came from Rodgers himself: a fumble then two interceptions. These were also the only turnovers all game.
  • Week 9, 2025

Who did the Curse Wheel curse?

    • Indianapolis Colts (#1)

Did the Curse Wheel curse succeed?

    • YES; the Colts lost to the Pittsburg Steelers 20-27

    How Bad Was the Curse?

    • The Colts had SIX turnovers this game.
    • They also lost to the Steelers, who lost to the Packers last week, who in turn lost to the Panthers this week. By transitive property it means now the Colts are worse than the Panthers. It’s math, look it up.
    • This is actually the second time the Colts have been cursed; the first was in Week 4 against the Los Angeles Rams, and they lost both those games. The final scores for both was also 20-27. If you don’t believe in the powers of the Curse Wheel, the Colts have otherwise won every other game they played. They’re currently 7-2; they might have been the only undefeated team if not for the Curse Wheel.

Who did the Curse Wheel curse?

    • New York Giants (#13)

Did the Curse Wheel curse succeed?

    • YES; the Giants lost to the Denver Broncos 32-33

    How Bad Was the Curse?

    • The Giants were up 19-0 at the start of the 4th quarter
    • The Broncos managed to score all 33 points in that 4th quarter
    • Four would-be points from the Giants were missed due to a failed 2-pt conversion and two failed PATs by Giants Kicker Jude McAtamney; in fact, the last failed PAT was after the score was 32, meaning a successful PAT then could’ve just tied up the game.
  • Week 6, 2025

Who did the Curse Wheel curse?

    • First Spin: Perna personally
    • Second Spin: Detroit Lions (#1)

Did the Curse Wheel curse succeed?

    • First Spin: YES; Perna cut himself and his chair exploded
    • Second Spin: YES; the Lions lost to the Kansas City Chiefs 17-30

    How Bad Was the Curse?

    • It doubly cursed Perna as a Broncos fan by giving extra strength to the Chiefs
    • The Lions had a touchdown called back on a penalty because of a rule no one knew until someone had to dig it up.
    • The Chiefs had ZERO accepted penalties called on them
    • Brian Branch got a one game suspension for punching JuJu Smith-Schuster postgame
